Weekly Tarot Forecast: 25 June 2017

Welcome to your weekly Tarot forecast! It’s definitely getting to be high summer here in southwestern Oregon. I saw that a field next to our RV park was already mowed and the hay rolled up into bales.

Today I’m using a Welsh mythology-based deck, the Llewellyn, produced by Llewellyn Worldwide some years ago to celebrate its founder’s origins. It’s another good beginner’s deck with pagan leanings, of course.

Since there is no specific question or area of concern for these readings, my interpretation will be very general in nature, based on my sense of what the Tarot itself is addressing and the general energy potentials for the week.

Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirror pairs to round out the message.

The Timeline View

Like last week, we begin this week with comfy start (9 of Cups). Happy, happy, joy, joy! And this time the rest of the cards look a lot more positive (except one), so we can more easily maintain that satisfaction. After our little sit with our joy, it will be time to join the Knight of Pentacles and move with determination to help out the juggler in the middle of the week. Looks like the Knight is asking for a focus on work to improve the financials for the week.

By midweek, we have another repeat from last week, the 2 of Pentacles (swear I used a different deck and shuffled—swear!). Unlike last week we have the Knight of Pentacles rather than the 10 of Wands providing support, so I think the prospects are better this week for getting things done. Still, material resources continue to be thin and the need to juggle will continue.

As you move on toward week’s end, we have some different energies to deal with compared to last week. I think the 5 of Swords shows a change that you may think is good, but which might hide a loss underneath. Don’t take things for granted (remember those two pentacles you are juggling). By the end of the week, the 8 of Wands indicates that things will move quickly in a positive direction and you’ll see improvement in your situation. You can ride that wave of wands into next week.

The Mirrored Tarot Pairs

The focal point for this view of your cards is the 2 of Pentacles (just like last week), which indicates that you will need to focus on working with less than optimum resources for what you want to do.

Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. These are the positive influences on your situation, where a sense of satisfaction with the way things are (9 of Cups) is paired with a swift improvement (8 of Wands). So, the juggling will pay off in the end.

The inner pair makes for an interesting combination. I think the Knight is trying to use his persistent, hard-working energy to counter the arrogance often associated with the 5 of Swords, where it looks like a victory, but one that has a cost because of your attitude. The Knight is offering you the insight of making progress authentically, even if it takes extra time. The quick fix at the expense of others (5 of Swords) will not lead to the best result.
