Welcome to your weekly Tarot forecast! This is the Wildwood Tarot deck from Mark Ryan, John Matthews and Will Worthington. I love this deck for seasonal messages because it’s so nature-connected.
Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirror pairs to round out the message.
The Timeline View
Starting the week with a combination of fun times, lots to do, followed by celebrating with friends by mid-week. Don’t forget to have fun today and tomorrow with your winter season celebrations, but maybe watch that the kids don’t get into too much trouble (Page of Vessels). I know many grown-ups get all wrapped up in the to-do list for the holidays (Ten of Bows), but the celebration is about to begin, so you are almost there! Keep going!
By midweek, you should be coasting and lighting the fire of celebration with whoever you are gathered with for the holidays (Four of Bows), or if you are on your own, take this opportunity to light a fire or a candle and do your own dance under the stars, for we are all one. If you do this, I will feel your joy and return it through the quantum ether.
As you move on toward week’s end and the new year, enjoy the flow of good feelings that should move quickly toward you (Knight of Vessels). An offer of love should be seriously considered. The end of the weeks should be spent on preparing for the new year. New structures are needed to feel comfortable. Purge those old files and folders on the computer, clean out a closet and take control for the new year (The Green Man).
The Mirrored Tarot Pairs
Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. In this interpretation, the Four of Bows/Wands card is the center of the issue, so it’s all about celebrating what you’ve accomplished with your own effort.
First pair includes the Page of Vessels (the otter) and The Green Man (The Emperor). A rather contrasting pair, this, so we see the desire to play and dig into feelings contrasting with the organizational and commanding magic of The Green Man (masculine principle). You will need to balance these two forces to enjoy your holiday with responsibility but also flexibility to have some fun.
The second pair, the Ten of Bows and the Knight of Vessels share a similar theme of balancing responsibility with the desire to get away and follow your feelings, so I see this need intensifying as your celebratory activities come to fruition.
But in the end, don’t forget to have a good time and celebrate the season in peace (Four of Bows), knowing that the universe is looking down from the stars and smiling.
Cosmic Tarot Whispers of the Week
I’m going to share two of my favs so far from the recent Winter Solstice Tarot blog hop. This is a great series that our Facebook group does eight times a year. The writing at the Lost Star Tarot post is particularly deep in its reach into the Earth to gather power for growth from the darkness.
On a more visual theme, my Tarot buddy, Ania M is working on a wonderful photo Tarot deck and I really love her new ace of wands, perfect for lighting up the night.
