Welcome to your weekly Tarot forecast! Enjoying the flashes of sunshine over the hills to the south as much as we can amid the start of the winter rain showers here in Oregon. Feels like a good time to get work done before the holiday period gets serious.
I’m using the Tarot Mucha this week. I’ve always had a fondness for the Art Nouveau era at the turn of the 20th century. Massaglia and Nosenzo have created a great tribute to Alfons Mucha in this deck.
Since there is no specific question or area of concern for these readings, my interpretation will be very general in nature, based on my sense of what the Tarot itself is addressing and the general energy potentials for the week.
Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirrored pairs to round out the message.
The Timeline View
We begin this week with a news. Pages are often considered bearers of news for the querent in a Tarot reading. You may receive a new business offer or a little extra money to use for a new purpose (Page of Discs). That purpose could be revealed in the next card, the Ace of Staves. Maybe put that gift or news from the Page of Discs to a creative purpose or a social event. The only difference in these two “beginnings” cards is the pace. Discs speak of slow and steady progress on material goals, where Staves are much more adventurous. So you may have to decide on how much risk you want to take here.
By midweek, you may have some guidance as to where to lean as far as the messages from the first two cards. With the Ace of Discs, you have a reinforcement of this week’s material abundance theme in the form of yet another opportunity for increasing your comfort level in the world. Or maybe a trip to the park! Work in the garden kind of day? Start a new business? Many possibilities, but a definite take your time and give everything a methodical combing through.
Moving toward the end of the week, the methodical, cautious theme continues (Four of Discs). So, whatever you are starting this week, make sure you have all your financial or material ducks (or stones or coins) in a row and available to you. Great rewards will result from having what you need, but maybe not hanging onto it too tightly (remember the Ace of Staves energy). All this great preparation finally leads to a shift in focus by the end of the week (Page of Swords) due to a potential message that clears up any confusion that’s left and calls on you to really make sure you’ve dotted those i’s and crossed those t’s before moving on with your gains into next week.
The Mirrored Tarot Pairs
The focal point for this view of your cards is the power of creating abundance in the real world, cultivating good home, good health, connection to nature, solid finances. This is the beginning of a nice shiny new opportunity (Ace of Discs).
Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. Lots of beginner energy here, with a couple of pages with messages for you. You could get some accounting help to go with whatever opportunity the Ace Discs is providing this week. The Page of Discs will inspire a methodical approach, but the Page of Swords will bring the logical clarity to bear to solve any official problems quickly. Use both of these energies to your advantage.
The inner pair is a bit of a study in contrasts. This may indicate where you will need to decide how to mix the right energies for the week to get into that magical Ace of Discs garden. You’ve got a great creative idea or connection you can make (Ace of Staves), but at the same time, there’s sense of husbanding your resources and hanging tight with the way things are (Four of Discs). You’ve got lots of Disc energy in the whole draw, though, so maybe to get things moving, you need to let go of some caution (4 of D) and be willing to take a risk (Ace of St) to get what you want.
Overall, though, a great week to get going on something new that may contribute to your material abundance.
Cosmic Whisper of the Week
Fascinating perspective from Donnaleigh on rephrasing (flipping, as she calls it) the question for yes/queries to the Lenormand cards. As she points out, to get a clear answer, you need to ask the right version of the question. Check out her short instructional video here.
