Today I’m using a my Alice Tarot deck; just reached into my bag of decks and it came out. So, prepare for a slightly mad and wry sense of the universe, without a whole lot of warm and fuzzy stuff. The creators of the deck, Baba Studio, didn’t find a whole lotta love in these stories, which makes for some interesting image choices and interpretations.
Since there is no specific question or area of concern for these readings, my interpretation will be very general in nature, based on my sense of what the Tarot itself is addressing and the general energy potentials for the week.
Let’s do a chronological look first, and then we’ll use some mirror pairs to round out the message.
The Timeline View
We begin the week with the power of Kings. Not bad, except the Alice Tarot Kings are a bit contrary and odd, like most of Lewis Carroll’s characters. The King of Coins (White King) definitely likes his earthly pleasures (primarily food) and believes he’s quite organized and practical, when in fact, he’s not. The King of Wands (Mad Hatter) is definitely flamboyant and egocentric (like most Alice characters), but again, the maturity and effectiveness of the Tarot King suit is missing. He’s giving his take on the “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” song, so on stage and performing, he is. For the reading, I would advise being on the lookout for older folks, particularly men, who make claims to certain capabilities, but may not be able to follow through. They may mean well, but don’t count on them. Also, you will need both the traditional passionate excitement of the King of Wands and the steadiness of the King of Coins to carry you through the rest of the week’s adventures.
At mid-week, looks like you’ll get an invitation, although it may come in an indirect form (the White Rabbit didn’t so much invite Alice down the hole as much as just making her curious about all his fussing over being late). This invitation, as the Fool energy suggests, will involve making a risky choice. Making a move without knowing all the facts, without seeing the ending. Could be good, but, who knows? You may feel torn between your “searching for comfort” King of Coins self and your “get out there and sing” (King of Wands) self. Perhaps you need to jump in and see what happens.
As you move on toward week’s end, it looks like the universe will be supporting that Fool’s choice. We see the Wheel as portrayed by Alice holding the White Rabbit’s fan, which makes her very small and she almost disappears before dropping it. So the Wheel of Fortune portends change, but also tells us we have limited control over events, just as Alice did. Make sure you don’t hang on to something too long or you may lose perspective. At week’s end, you’ll get to decide if you want to be the cat or the mouse in the Justice card. The winding words of the text here (looking a lot like the mouse’s tail) indicate that the cat will try to take unfair control of the situation, to the definite disadvantage of the mouse. Mouse remains skeptical, however, as should you over any proposal you might be considering.
The Mirrored Tarot Pairs
The focal point for this view of your cards is the Fool, which emphasizes the imperative of making a choice to act this week without necessarily knowing the consequences.
Now let’s pair the outer cards up to see how they might inform your situation. The King of Coins is likely not up to dealing with the clever and sadistic cat in the Justice card. But even though he’s just putting on a front of being practical and capable, his message is that you will need that common sense to make sure you get the upper hand if you choose to go down the rabbit hole with the Fool card. Not sure I want to be in the mouse’s position at the end of the week.
The inner pair seems like another King warning in relation to the unpredictability of the Wheel of Fortune. The King of Wands makes me think of leaning in to the Fool’s invitation; if you’re agile, you should be able to spin the Wheel in your favor, although timing will be important in succeeding.

I know Judgement can be a weird card for a lot of people, what with the name, and the traditional imagery of the Last Judgement of Christ from the Book of Revelations.
